If You Asked for a Picture is the upcoming second album from American singer-songwriter Blondshell, set for release on May 2, 2025, via Partisan Records. The album’s lead single, “What’s Fair,” was released on August 21, 2024.
If You Asked For A Picture takes its name from a poem by Mary Oliver and follows Teitelbaum’s 2023 self-titled debut. Produced by Yves Rothman, the album also includes the 2024 single “What’s Fair.”
Talking about the track “T&A,” Teitelbaum shares, “There’s a Rolling Stones song on Tattoo You called ‘Little T&A,’ where at one point they say ‘tits and ass.’ I’m borrowing that phrase. In music, things are often either very sexualized or very romantic, and I wanted this song to be both. To me, it’s a love story—maybe not a perfect fairy tale, but a real one. I wanted it to feel like a narrative, where one thing naturally leads to another and takes you somewhere unexpected. That’s not usually how I write, but with this one, I really wanted to tell a story.”
