Eladio Carrión is back with a fresh dose of heat. Following the release of his full-length album Sol María in January, he’s returned with a surprise EP titled Porque Puedo, dropped just ahead of his highly anticipated shows at El Choli in Puerto Rico.
The five-track project taps back into the trap energy that originally won fans over during his Sauce Boyz era. The EP includes “Heavyweight,” “Don KBRN Freestyle,” “Código G,” “Henny Mood,” and “Susanoo.”.
On “Don KBRN Freestyle,” Carrión glides effortlessly between melodic vocals and sharp bars over a smooth, piano-driven beat. Then there’s “Henny Mood,” where he flips the script, throwing in a few slick English lines that highlight his bilingual flow and versatility.
